Riley Herbst disqualified from Charlotte Roval race
CONCORD, N.C. — NASCAR disqualified Riley Herbst from the Cup Series race at the Charlotte Roval after his car failed post-race inspection.
Herbst will finish 37th — last — after initially crossing the finish line 30th.
Herbst had a tough weekend. He crashed in practice and had to start in the rear of the field. In fact, he turned a qualifying lap with the right side of his car beat and scraped up.
This is at least the second consecutive Cup race at the Roval with a disqualification. Last year’s disqualification saw Alex Bowman lose out on a Round of 8 spot to Joey Logano.
