Ross Chastain finishes among NASCAR Cup Top-10 points at season’s end
In the end, Ross Chastain’s goal of finishing among the Top-10 in NASCAR Cup Series points came to fruition.

Chastain finished the year 10th in the final point standings, passing Bubba Wallace for the final position in the last race of the year at Phoenix Raceway.
โI feel like weโve been raised in the Top-5, Top-10, Top-15, Top-20 mentality, I believe that in finishing position, I believe that in points finishing position,โ Chastain said prior to the Phoenix race to The Racing Experts.
Proud of everything weโve accomplished over the past 5 years and nobody Iโd rather have done it with. Thank you for helping me become a better race car driver and glad youโre still around the shop. Hereโs to many more cold ones down the road. Cheers, buddy! ๐ป pic.twitter.com/iDdHEPLnlD

Chastain stressed the importance of being among the Top-10, ready to pounce if Wallace slipped at Phoenix.
A mechanical issue sidelined Wallace to a 37th-place finish in the Phoenix race, earning one point, while Chastain’s 13th-place finish was enough to overtake Wallace by 16 points.

For Chastain, who spent much of the summer inside the Top-10 in points, Phoenix marked his first time inside the Top-10 since Sonoma in July.
2025 marked the third time in four years Chastain was among the Top-10 in points.
On the contrary, Wallace spent most of 2025 among the Top-10 in points.

The 23XI Racing driver’s lone Top-10 finish in points came in 2023 (10th).
