Ryan Blaney ties five other drivers on wins list

By picking up his third win of 2021 in the NASCAR Cup Series, Ryan Blaney continues to climb up the premier series’ all-time wins list.

Blaney’s victory Saturday night in the Coke Zero Sugar 400 marked the Team Penske driver’s seventh win of his career, tying Darel Dieringer, A.J. Foyt, Jamie McMurray, Jim Reed and Marshall Teague.

The group of drivers are now tied for 68th all-time on the wins list.

Drivers ahead of Blaney on the wins list include Kyle Petty (8), Paul Goldsmith (9), Cotton Owens (9) and Bob Welborn (9).

At the beginning of the season, Blaney was tied for 80th on the series’ wins list.

The next Cup Series race — the start of the NASCAR Playoffs — is at Darlington Raceway, scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 5.
