Sean Hingorani suspended one ARCA race for Mid-Ohio incident
ARCA suspended Sean Hingorani one race for intentionally wrecking his teammate Friday at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.
Hingorani will miss this Saturday’s ARCA Menards Series race at Iowa Speedway.
The 16-year-old driver bumped teammate Dean Thompson multiple times while racing for the lead. Finally, Hingorani bumped Thompson wide entering the final turn with eight laps to go.
Exiting the turn, though, Thompson pushed Hingorani into the grass out of frustration.
On the final lap, Thompson ran second and faced pressure from William Sawalich. Thompson dove into the corner with Hingorani on the inside lane.
Hingorani then bumped into Thompson and sent both of them into the sand.
Thompson finished 10th while Hingorani finished 13th.
ARCA ruled Hingorani waited for and intentionally wrecked Thompson. He will be suspended one race and on probation for the rest of the season.
