Stenhouse and Busch scuffle after NASCAR All-Star Race

NORTH WILKESBORO, N.C. — The fireworks were going off in the sky and in the infield as Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Kyle Busch got into a scuffle after the NASCAR All-Star Race.

Stenhouse was waiting for Busch at his hauler after the 200-lap race, as evidenced in a video Jordan Bianchi from The Athletic posted.

While Busch finished 10th, Stenhouse finished 20th (last) after an incident in the opening laps.

On lap one, Stenhouse was in the middle of Denny Hamlin on the inside lane and Kyle Busch on the outside lane in turn one. It caught Busch out as he hit the wall exiting turn two.

Busch got back to Stenhouse’s bumper the very next lap. He bumped into Stenhouse, sending him into the outside wall.

Stenhouse was done after two laps. With the nature of North Wilkesboro Speedway, he had to wait in the infield until after the race.

“We passed him [Kyle Busch] and I guess he was mad. Parked my car in his pit box, like he probably would’ve. Maybe Richard [Childress] will hold my watch after the race,” Stenhouse said.

Once the checkered flag dropped, Busch walked back to his hauler where Stenhouse was waiting.

After a brief discussion, Stenhouse swung at Busch and appeared to make contact. It set the whole area ablaze in a scuffle that sent people, cameras and tires to the ground.

Stenhouse and Busch got a few words in after the scuffle. Stenhouse vowed to wreck Busch at Charlotte. Meanwhile Busch said, “I don’t give a f-ck, I suck just as bad as you.”

“He [Kyle Busch] runs his mouth all the time. And he’s probably frustrated that he doesn’t run as good as he used to… I don’t have anything else for him. If we want to do a charity match, that’d be fun but I don’t have anything,” Stenhouse told FS1 post-scuffle

Busch declined comment to FS1.
