VIDEO: Tyler Reddick opens season with 3 consecutive victories

AUSTIN — For the first time in NASCAR’s 78-year history, a driver has won the opening three points-awarding races.

Tyler Reddick out-dueled Shane Van Gisbergen to capture the win Sunday in the Duramax Texas Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas, Tyler Reddick’s third victory of the NASCAR Cup Series season.

Reddick won the Daytona 500, followed by a win at EchoPark Speedway (formerly Atlanta) and COTA in Austin.
