Christopher Bell wins Kansas pole

Christopher Bell posted a lap time of 29.491 seconds Saturday at Kansas Speedway to earn his first NASCAR Cup Series pole of 2024.

Bell will lead the field to the green flag Sunday in the Advent Health 400 with his 11th career pole.

“Qualifying on the intermediates has been good for this team,” said Bell, who led the series in poles in 2022 and 2023.

Ross Chastain will share the front row with the second-best lap time of 29.556 seconds.

Noah Gragson, with a career-high start, qualified third. Kyle Larson and Kyle Busch rounded out the Top-5 starters.

Last year’s May Kansas winner, Denny Hamlin, qualified 14th.

The most recent Cup Series Kansas winner, Tyler Reddick, will start 15th.

The Advent Health 400 is scheduled for Sunday (May 5) at 3 p.m. ET (FS1/MRN).
