30-for-30: Kyle Larson’s milestone Cup Series win at Homestead

In total, Larson led on six occasions for 19 laps in the Straight Talk Wireless 400. 2025 marks the fifth consecutive season Larson has won a race with Hendrick Motorsports.

“One of the coolest wins I think in my Cup career just because of the heart break I’ve had here, the heart break (Saturday), and to just keep my head down and keep digging feels really good,” Larson said.

Larson is the 30th driver in NASCAR history to eclipse 30 career victories in the sport’s top series.

Herb Thomas, the two-time NASCAR champion (1951 and 1953), was the first driver in NASCAR history to earn 30 wins when he took the checkered flag at the half-mile dirt track Speedway Park in Jacksonville, Fla. in March 1954.

“I think if we would still have the 2021 car, I would have about 50 Cup wins right now,” Larson said in his post-race press conference. “I think switching to this car has limited us from winning. I don’t know.

“I think just being with a good team and being able to adapt to new things is something you try to pride yourself on.”

Twenty-four of Larson’s wins have come behind-the-wheel of the No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet. Larson won his first six races driving for Chip Ganassi Racing. Larson has the third-most victories for Hendrick Motorsports all-time, behind Jeff Gordon (93) and Jimmie Johnson (83).

Active drivers with more victories than Larson are Martin Truex Jr. (34), Brad Keselowski (36), Joey Logano (36), Denny Hamlin (54) and Kyle Busch (63).

Ahead of Larson on the wins list include 1999 series champion Dale Jarrett (32 victories), Hall-of-Famer Fireball Roberts (33), and a pair of past champions with 34 wins (Kurt Busch and Martin Truex Jr.).

The next race for the NASCAR Cup Series is scheduled for Sunday, March 30 at Martinsville Speedway.
