A.J. Allmendinger on pole at Fontana

A.J. Allmendinger will lead to the field to the green in the Saturday Xfinity Series race at Auto Club Speedway.

The pole is Allmendinger’s first of 2022 and fourth of his career.

Cole Custer will start second in his first start of the year in the series.

Brandon Jones, Trevor Bayne and Daniel Hemric rounded out the top-5 starters.
