Alex Bowman wins the Auto Club 400

Alex Bowman led 110 of 200 laps in Sunday’s Auto Club 400 to cap off a dominating weekend with his second career NASCAR Cup Series win.
Bowman started third as the favorite for Sunday, having won both practice sessions and been fastest on the ten-lap average speed charts.

Prior to Sunday’s race, Bowman had never scored a top 10 at Auto Club Speedway and had only led one lap at the track.
Bowman’s 110 laps marked the most miles (220) that Bowman has led in a single Cup race, eclipsing the 193 miles he led at Phoenix in November 2016.
Bowman is now the 132nd driver to win two or more races in the NASCAR Cup Series.
