Atlanta announces dates for 2027 races
EchoPark Speedway, formally known as Atlanta Motor Speedway, announced the dates for their two NASCAR Cup Series weekends for 2027.

The 1.5 mile oval will host their Cup races on Feb. 28 and July 18. Autotrader will return as the title sponsor for the February race, and continue as the second points paying race of the season.
The July race will move back one week, and have a new race sponsor. Quaker State, which has sponsored the 400 mile July race since it returned in 2021 will be replaced by Dollar Tree. The race will also remain a Sunday night race.
The NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series will also return to the track for the February weekend. Both races will be held on Saturday, Feb. 27 for a double header. Bennett Transportation and Logistics will continue as the title sponsor for the O’Reilly race. No title sponsor announced for the Truck race yet.
The July weekend will have a change on Saturday night though. Instead of the O’Reilly Series, the Truck Series will join Cup for the weekend. This will be the first time that the Trucks will race at Atlanta twice in one year since 2008. The O’Reilly Series as a result, will only race at Atlanta once next year.
In a track press release, Brandon Hutchison, the track’s Vice President and General Manager said, โWhether itโs paired with spring sunshine or the electric atmosphere of racing under the lights on a summer night, fans are enjoying some of the best racing in the world when NASCAR comes to Atlanta. Weโre looking forward to delivering more white-knuckle, edge-of-your-seat excitement to everyone who joins us in February and July next year.โ
