Austin Cindric secures first career pole

Austin Cindric will lead the field to the green flag in the Iowa 250 at Iowa Speedway. This is Cindric’s third top 5 start this season.
Daniel Hemric, who has scored four consecutive top 5 finishes, will start on the outside pole. This is Hemric’s third front row start this season. He secured the pole at Talladega and Daytona this year.
Brandon Jones will start third, followed by Elliott Sadler in fourth and Cole Custer in fifth. Custer was fastest in the opening two rounds of qualifying.
Christopher Bell and Ryan Reed will start at the back of the pack after failing pre-qualifying inspection. They will start 39th and 40th respectively.
The green flag for the Iowa 250 is slated to drop at 5:00 p.m. ET. The race will be broadcasted live on Fox Sports 1 and the Motor Racing Network.
