B.J. McLeod will race in 2026 Daytona 500
One driver’s misfortune is another’s gain.

B.J. McLeod will race in the 2026 Daytona 500 following Anthony Alfredo’s post-race disqualification Thursday night in the America 250 Florida Duel qualifying race at Daytona International Speedway.
Alfredo, who originally finished 18th, placed ahead of B.J. McLeod (19th) and J.J. Yeley (22nd).
McLeod will race in his first Daytona 500 since 2023, and his sixth overall.
The 42-year-old driver’s highest finish in the race came in 2019, when he finished 19th driving for Rick Ware Racing.
The Daytona 500 is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, Feb. 15.
