Bubba Wallace “Proud to be locked into the Playoffs”

For the first time in his NASCAR Cup Series career, Bubba Wallace will race for a championship.

Wallace’s 12th-place effort in the Coke Zero Sugar 400 — and with no new winners — guaranteed Wallace’s spot in NASCAR’s post-season.

“Proud to be locked into the Playoffs,” Wallace said. “23XI, third year in, getting both cars in the Playoffs. We’ve gone through a lot of trials and tribulations. So proud of the effort we put in.
“No matter how much we set ourselves back, we know that we have a kick-ass group and can bounce back from everything.”

Wallace earned 4 Top-5 finishes and 6 Top-10 finishes in the first 26 races. He is seeded 16th entering the first round of the playoffs at Darlington next Sunday night.
