Bubba Wallace scores back-to-back Top-5 finishes to open season
HAMPTON, Ga. — Bubba Wallace has started the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series campaign with two consecutive Top-5 finishes.

Wallace finished fifth Sunday in the Ambetter Health 400 at Atlanta Motor Speedway after finishing fifth in the Daytona 500 last Monday.
“Iโm so glad weโre done with superspeedway racing for a while,” Wallace said. “The mental toll it takes on you, to just making sure you make the right move for 260 laps, including the race last week too, is a lot.”
Wallace, who started 18th, led three laps and picked up three stage points in Stage 1.

“Team did a great job. I put us behind with that speeding penalty on pit road. Never gave up, though. Came from the back. Enjoying where weโre at right now. Just canโt get complacent.”
Wallace sits fourth in points entering next Sunday’s race at Las Vegas, 27 points ahead of the playoff cutline.
Being ranked fourth is the highest Wallace has ever been ranked in points two races into a Cup Series season.
