Chandler Smith picks up second win of 2021, career

AVONDALE, Ariz. — While Ben Rhodes celebrated his first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series victory Friday (Nov. 5) at Phoenix Raceway, Chandler Smith earned his second victory of 2021 and his career in NASCAR’s third-tier series.
Smith led the final 18 laps in the Lucas Oil 150 to capture the win, his second in the last five races. The 19-year-old driver made the pass on Sheldon Creed.
“We were able to race extremely hard without touching,” Smith said. “I felt like we put on a really good show.”
Smith is now tied with 20 other drivers for 54th all-time on the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series wins list.
The Kyle Busch Motorsports finished the season with 2 wins, 6 Top-5 finishes, and 9 Top-10 finishes, ninth overall in points.
Smith also clinched the Sunoco Rookie-of-the-Year title with his win.
