Chase Elliott hits double-digit wins in Cup Series

Chase Elliott’s victory Sunday (Nov. 1st) in the Xfinity 500 at Martinsville Speedway produced the Hendrick Motorsports driver’s 10th career win in NASCAR’s elite series.

Elliott’s win at Martinsville was his fourth win of 2020, a personal record in his fifth year of competition.

“This is the biggest win ever for us,” Elliott said of the win. “I’m just so proud to be able to be backed into a corner like that and have to win tonight. I feel like that’s what we’ve been missing these past four or five years and perform when we don’t have a choice.

“And, to do that tonight; we couldn’t ask for a better night.”

Elliott is now tied with Donnie Allison, Clint Bowyer, and Sterling Marlin on the Cup Series all-time wins list.

All of the aforementioned drivers are now tied for 59th on the list.

Herb Thomas was the first driver to hit the 10-win mark in the Cup Series with his victory at Central City Speedway in Macon, Georgia in April of 1952.
