Chase Elliott tied with Ricky Rudd on NASCAR wins list
With his win Sunday in the Würth 400, Chase Elliott tied with NASCAR Hall-of-Famer Ricky Rudd on the NASCAR Cup Series all-time wins list.
Elliott’s victory at Texas Motor Speedway was his second of 2026 and 23rd of his career. The two drivers are now tied for 37th all-time.
“It’s hard to win, so I’m really proud of our team for that and just proud of the day that we had,” Elliott said. “It was, I would say, one of our strongest races that we’ve had in quite some time.”
All 23 wins for Elliott have been driving the No. 9 for Hendrick Motorsports.
For Rudd, he earned four of his 23 victories racing with Hendrick. His final career win came at Sonoma Raceway in 2002 driving for Robert Yates Racing.
Prior to the start of the season, Elliott was tied for 40th all-time on the wins list alongside Jeff Burton, Bobby Labonte, Benny Parsons, and Jack Smith.
Directly ahead of Elliott on the wins list are Jim Paschal and Joe Weatherly at 25 wins; and Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Fred Lorenzon, each at 26 wins.
