Chase Elliott ties Davey Allison, 3 other drivers on wins list
FORT WORTH — By winning the AutoTrader EchoPark 400 at Texas Motor Speedway Sunday, Chase Elliott picked up his first victory of 2024 and the 19th of his NASCAR Cup Series career.
Elliott is now tied with Davey Allison, Buddy Baker, Greg Biffle and Fonty Flock. All of the drivers are tied for 44th all-time on the wins list.
Elliott, the 2020 series champion, won in a Hooters-sponsored car, the first time the sponsor won in the Cup Series since 1992 with Alan Kulwicki.
“Hooter’s has been a partner of ours for a number of years now,” Elliott said. “It’s been a dream of mine to pay respect to the late Alan Kulwicki.
“Driving this car to a victory and do a Polish victory lap, just really crazy how things came full circle there in that moment. It was pretty emotional for me.”

History
Davey Allison raced in the Cup Series from 1985 until his untimely death in 1993.
Buddy Baker raced in Cup from 1959 to 1992.
Biffle raced full-time in the series from 2003 to 2016, racing a part-time stint in 2022.
Fonty Flock raced in NASCAR’s first season, 1949, to 1957.
Ahead of the five drivers on the wins list are Speed Thompson (20), Jeff Burton (21), Bobby Labonte (21), Benny Parsons (21), and Jack Smith (21).
