It had been over six years since his last victory, but Chris Buescher is a winner in NASCAR’s top series again.

Chris Buescher snapped his 222-race winless streak in the NASCAR Cup Series with his victory in the Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race Saturday (Sept. 17) at Bristol Motor Speedway.

“Just so special here, Bristol, I love this racetrack,” Buescher said. “I love the fans. I love every time we come here. It’s so special to me.”

The victory was the second of Buescher’s Cup Series career, with the first win coming at Pocono Raceway in July of 2016.

Additionally, it was also the first points-awarding victory under the Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing banner.

Buescher is now the 139th multi-winner in the NASCAR Cup Series. Other active drivers with two victories include A.J. Allmendinger, Christopher Bell, Ross Chastain, David Ragan, Tyler Reddick, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., and Bubba Wallace.

Buscher snapped the second longest drought between Cup Series wins in series history, according to NASCAR.
