Connor Zilisch zooms to 8th career NASCAR Xfinity pole at Gateway
MADISON, Illinois — For the eighth time in his NASCAR Xfinity Series career, Connor Zilisch will lead the field to the green flag for a race.

Zilisch will start first for his 29th career Xfinity Series start, set for Saturday at World Wide Technology Raceway Gateway, near St. Louis. Nick Sanchez will share the front row with him.

Here are the top-10 starters:

- Sam Mayer
- Taylor Gray
- Harrison Burton
- Aric Almirola
- Carson Kvapil
- Austin Hill
- Christian Eckes
Five of the top-11 starters haven’t fully secured a playoff spot yet, including Daniel Dye who starts 11th. Saturday is the regular season finale for the Xfinity Series.
Ryan Sieg will start 13th and needs to win to get into the playoffs. He showed strong pace in practice.
Sharing the row with Sieg is Justin Allgaier, who will start 14th. Allgaier is 21 points behind Zilisch in the regular-season title fight.
Jeb Burton will start 19th. He is 31 points below the cutline, behind cousin Harrison.
The Nu Way 200 Sauced by Blues Hog is set to go green on The CW (check local listings), Motor Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90 just after 7:30 p.m. ET Saturday.
