BRISTOL, TENN. — Daniel Hemric will race the No. 31 Kaulig Racing Chevrolet full-time in the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season.

Team executives Chris Rice and Matt Kaulig confirmed the move Friday in the Bristol Motor Speedway media center.

“We’ve been working on this since February to advance our race team, our Cup program. We feel like the best way to advance our program is to have Daniel Hemric in that car,” Kaulig said.

Hemric will compete in his first full-time Cup Series season since running for Rookie of the Year honors in 2019.

“This is a big day, and it means so much to my family and me,” Hemric said. “It’s truly special to have an opportunity to do something big with a group of people that want it just as bad as you. It takes heart, and each and every person at Kaulig Racing has it.”

After winning the NASCAR Xfinity Series championship, Hemric joined Kaulig Racing in 2022. Since then, he has earned eight top-5 finishes, 27 top-10s and one pole in 59 starts – plus two consecutive playoff appearances.

Hemric also made eight Cup Series starts for Kaulig, with two top-12 finishes last year – 12th in the Daytona 500 and ninth at Auto Club Speedway.

At a later date, Kaulig Racing will name Hemric’s partners and the remainder of the organization’s driver lineup.
