Denny Hamlin ties Lee Petty on all-time wins list
With his 54th NASCAR Cup Series victory Sunday in the Wurth 400, Denny Hamlin tied three-time champion Lee Petty on the all-time wins list

Hamlin led 136 laps Sunday en route to the win, his third of 2024.
โI couldnโt hold Lee Pettyโs helmet,โ Hamlin said. โIโve been blessed with a great race team, Iโm the lucky one that gets to drive it.โ
Lee Petty, the father of Richard Petty, won his 54 races between 1949 to 1961. Additionally, he won his championships in 1954, 1958 and 1959.
Ahead of Hamlin and Petty on the wins list are Rusty Wallace (55), Kevin Harvick (60), and Kyle Busch (63).
Hamlin has the most NASCAR Cup Series wins of any driver who has never won a championship in the series.
