ESPORTS RACING LEAGUE All-Star Race – Virtual Cup Cars at Iowa Speedway TONIGHT (3/18/20)
The Esports Racing League, a league on iRacing founded by current Richard Childress Racing driver Anthony Alfredo, is hosting an All-Star race on Wednesday Night in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic forcing many real life Motorsports off the track for the foreseeable future.
The 100 lap feature at Iowa Speedway, in the virtual NASCAR Cup Series race cars, will take place on Wednesday evening, and will be broadcasted on the ERL Twitch page by the talented team at Podium Esports starting at 7:00 pm ET.
Alfredo will race alongside other NASCAR drivers on Wednesday night, including Harrison Burton (NASCAR Xfinity Series), Christian Eckes (NASCAR Gander RV and Outdoors Truck Series), and Josh Berry (CARS Tour).
ERL series regulars, along with a handful of eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series drivers, will also take part in the star-studded event.
“100 laps with Cup cars at Iowa Speedway, the race NASCAR fans have always wanted to see,” Alfredo said.
Everyone always says they want to see Cup cars race at @iowaspeedway. Well, that race is finally happening! Tonight at 7:15 the green flag will drop for the @ERLracing All-Star race for 100 laps with NASCAR stars, @CocaCola @iRacing pros and ERL regulars. pic.twitter.com/LdMZ0nBUDv

In four races through the 2020 ERL season, Alfredo, along with Logan Clampitt, Graham Bowlin, and Jimmy Mullis, have all found the virtual victory lane in the Premier Series.
ERL also hosts a Sportsman Series that runs on Monday nights utilizing the iRacing version of the NASCAR Xfinity Series cars. John Midgett, Alex Krahnke, and Lucas Cram (on two occasions) have been victorious so far in that series.
