Greg Hodnett notches 73rd career Williams Grove Speedway win

WILLIAMS GROVE, Pa. — Greg Hodnett led the last 16 laps to win his first 410 Sprint Car feature of the season Friday night at Williams Grove Speedway.

The 49-year-old drove by TJ Stutts on a Lap-14 restart to bag the $3,800 payout and 73rd victory of Hodnett’s career at the historic Williams Grove.

Stutts started on the pole after winning the first heat race of the night and led the opening 14 laps. The two started on the front row and battled for the top spot from the onset. Stutts opened up small leads on Hodnett and staved off two restarts on Laps 3 and 4 — but on the third and final restart, Hodnett hounded Stutts and finished him off in the middle of Turns 3 and 4 on Lap 14. By Lap 20, Hodnett turned a fiery battle into a four-second lead.

Lucas Wolfe, Cory Haas, Stutts and Freddie Rahmer round out the top five. Anthony Macri, Brandon Rahmer, Rodney Westhafer, Jimmy Siegel and Ryan Taylor complete the top 10.
