IndyCar releases 2024 schedule: Texas out, Milwaukee in, more

For the first time in track history, Texas Motor Speedway will not have an IndyCar date – meanwhile The Milwaukee Mile will return in 2024.

Schedule conflicts kept Texas off of the 2024 NTT IndyCar Series schedule, as NASCAR is reportedly moving its sole weekend to the spring – when IndyCar traditionally runs there.

In its place is The Milwaukee Mile, which will return with a pair of races on Labor Day Weekend. The second race comes at the expense of the second Indianapolis Grand Prix Circuit date.

This is the first time the series will race there since 2015. It is also the first time The Milwaukee Mile will host two professional open-wheel races in one year since 2006 – when ChampCar visited in June and IndyCar visited in July.

The races will take place August 31 (Peacock) and September 1 (USA Network, Peacock).

Meanwhile, the Portland weekend will be one week earlier (USA Network, Peacock).

As previously announced, Nashville is the new finale host. Laguna Seca will move to June 23 (USA, Peacock).

IndyCar will also host its first Thermal Club $1 Million Challenge (NBC, Peacock), just southeast of Palm Springs, Cali. The $1 million prize will be split between the winner and a club member.
