Garcia laid down a 21.893-second lap time in qualifying Friday, more than a tenth faster than second place Tanner Gray, to earn his second straight Rockingham pole.

“Super cool to break my record from last year,” Garcia said of breaking the track record. “Just hoping we can have a smooth race and execute.”

Kaden Honeycutt, Cole Butcher and Layne Riggs rounded out the Top-5 starters.

The Black’s Tire 200 is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. ET Friday (April 3).
