Jeff Gordon leaving broadcast booth

Jeff Gordon will leave the FOX Sports broadcast booth for the role of vice-chairman at Hendrick Motorsports, the team announced Wednesday.

“As vice chairman and co-owner, Gordon will maintain a daily presence at Hendrick Motorsports with a focus on the organization’s competition and marketing groups,” the team said in a press release.

Gordon is a four-time Cup Series champion, earning 93 victories in NASCAR’s premier series.

Gordon retired from full-time driving in 2015, transitioning to a color analyst role with FOX Sports from 2016 to 2021.
