Jennifer Jo Cobb posts best start since 2015

Jennifer Jo Cobb qualified 16th for Friday night’s NextEra Energy 250 at Daytona, which is her best start since 2015.

Cobb ran a time of 50.371 seconds which, at the time, put her fourth of 21 drivers that had posted a time. Cobb’s time held up, leading to her best qualifying effort since qualifying 11th for the 2015 NextEra Energy 250 at Daytona.

Cobb plans to run the full season with sponsorship for from Fastener Supply Company. In 2020, she ran 21 races, posting a best finish of 24th at Texas Motor Speedway in October.

Cobb has made 211 NCWTS starts, with a best finish of sixth in the 2011 NextEra Energy 250. Friday night’s NextEra Energy 250 will be Cobb’s 208th start driving for her own team.
