For well over a year, comparisons between Kyle Busch and Richard Petty have been thrown around.

Last Saturday’s Gander Outdoor Truck Series race at Martinsville saw Kyle Busch claim his 201st career win throughout NASCAR’s top-3 touring series.

While the argument is there to be made, Busch’s car owner Joe Gibbs told The Racing Experts in an exclusive interview, he doesn’t think you can compare the two.

“I don’t think you can compare all that stuff,” Gibbs said. “Kyle said it best, you can’t compare Richard’s (Petty) days to these days. Richard was awesome and I think what Kyle’s doing today is outstanding. I think history will kinda judge all that.”

Busch has 53 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series wins, 94 Xfinity Series wins and 54 Gander Outdoors Truck Series wins to his credit.

Petty ended his career with 200 wins in NASCAR’s premier series, the Cup Series. Petty never ran an Xfinity Series or Truck Series race, however he does have 1 NASCAR Convertible Series win and 3 NASCAR K&N Pro Series West wins.

Busch looks to go for win No. 202 this weekend at Texas Motor Speedway.
