Joey Logano passes Dale Jr. on wins list

With his victory Monday (March 29) in the Food City Dirt Race, Joey Logano has broken his tie with Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Fred Lorenzon on the NASCAR Cup Series all-time wins list.

Logano earned his first win of 2021 and 27th overall, placing the Team Penske 31st all-time on the winst list.

“I finally won a spring [Bristol] race,” Logano said. “I guess we needed dirt.”

The next five drivers ahead of Logano on the wins list are Carl Edwards (28), Martin Truex Jr. (28), Rex White (28), Kurt Busch (32) and Dale Jarrett (32).

Logano, the 2018 series champion, has the seventh-most wins among active drivers. Kevin Harvick (58) leads that category.

The next Cup Series race is scheduled for Saturday, April 10, at Martinsville Speedway.
