Last weekend while NASCAR teams were in Las Vegas, the Southeast was getting slammed by Hurricane Florence.

The hurricane caused monumental flooding, with countless people evacuated and displaced from their homes.

Dale Earnhardt Jr., JR Motorsports and the JR Foundation have teamed up with Team Rubicon to help with the relief efforts. JR Motorsports cars will have the Team Rubicon logo at both Richmond International Raceway and Charlotte Motor Speedway to help raise money for Team Rubicons disaster recovery work.

Team Rubicon was formed in 2010 and they bring together the skills and experiences learned by veterans and first responders to help those in need. Team Rubicon consists of 70 percent veterans and over 85,000 volunteers.

They have deployed for 297 disasters and that number is continuing to grow. Last year over 2,000 volunteers made their way to Houston, Texas directly after Hurricane Harvey, now they turn their attention to those affected by Hurricane Florence.

Before Hurricane Florence made landfall, Team Rubicon was zeroing in to the Southeast with equipment and personnel.

JR Motorsports took to Twitter to show their support for Team Rubicon. Dale Earnhardt Jr., Michael Annett, Tyler Reddick and Justin Allgaier are all bridging the gap between NASCAR and Team Rubicon.

Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series driver Denny Hamlin was also sponsored by Team Rubicon in the July Daytona race.
