After the checkered flag waived, the first repeat winner of 2026 set a few more milestones.

In the O’Reilly Series, this is now his ninth season with multiple wins, his fourth Darlington win, and his tenth consecutive top ten at the track.

Brandon Jones came up one position shy of defending his Darlington win from 2025 as he collects valuable points in second.

Christopher Bell placed third after he ran top-five all day and helped maintain the Joe Gibbs Racing No. 19 team’s position in the owners standings.

Kyle Larson led wire-to-wire from the start of the race to the end of stage two.

He led a race high 107 laps and swept the stages but lost key positions during his final two pit stops resulted in a fourth-placed finish for the dominant car of the race.

Carson Kvapil continued his seat shuffle for the third weekend in a row. Kvapil returned to his primary No. 1 car this race and finished fifth.

Haas Factory Team teammates made the right adjustments heading into stage three to have both cars recover to finish inside the top ten. Sheldon Creed finished seventh while Sam Mayer finished tenth.

Parker Retzlaff and Viking Motorsports were the pleasant surprise of the day.

Retzlaff was top ten in every session at Darlington and finished eighth while Anthony Alfredo showed great long-run pace and finished 12th

Finally, two cars had separate pit road spins which dampened their potential. Jesse Love was

Notable Events

There were no cautions in either stages but trouble found Austin Hill early.

Early in the run, he got into the wall while trying to stay ahead of William Sawalich. The right-front tire eventually went down with eight laps to go in the stage. The team made a tire change but the new right-front went down as soon as he got up to racing speed. A bent front-fender cut the tire down once more but he limped around for repairs once more.

Hill’s day eventually went from bad to worse as he was caught in the final caution of the day with 25 laps remaining. He finished 35th and fell to fifth in the standings.

The first caution for incident happened with 25 to go in the race when Dean Thompson clipped Kyle Sieg which set off the chain-reaction behind.

Lavar Scott, Alex Labbe, and the aforementioned Austin Hill sustained damage which saw Sieg, Scott, and Labbe become the only drivers out of the event.
