Allgaier had to outlast four red flags, a new series record amount of cautions at the track, and a second consecutive overtime finish of the season before taking the checkered.

The win continued the Chevrolet dominance at drafting tracks in the series as they have now won 12 consecutive races on the track type.

Allgaier qualified 16th but ran inside the top ten all day. He won the second stage and collected stage points in both stages as well.

After a stack-up on the penultimate restart, he was left in poor position to contend for the win. But, the sheer amount of restacks and restarts towards the conclusion of the event led to some tense moments where the less experienced drivers failed to hold the front.

That gave veteran driver the upper hand towards on the final go. He restarted from the third row and stormed his way to the lead on the final lap to surpass the most amount of wins in a single season for himself.

Allgaier leaves Atlanta with nearly 250 points above Jesse Love in the regular season standings and remains as the only O’Reilly Series driver locked into the Chase.

The Top Ten

Carson Kvapil had control of the race for the majority of the Focused Health 250. After winning the first stage and leading 27 laps, he settled for his fifth career runners-up finish.

He was able to gain enough momentum in the final two corners to pass another driver who was close to his first win, Parker Retzlaff. Retzlaff finished third and continued to showcase the Chase worthy strength he and Viking Motorsports have.

William Sawalich finished fourth as the highest Toyota in the field. Then Anthony Alfredo completed the top five from fifth.

Garrett Smithley found his way around the chaos to finish sixth. The finished marked only the fourth top ten in his O’Reilly Series career.

Brandon Jones captured the fastest lap point and seventh place. Then Kyle Sieg captured his fifth career top ten finish from eighth.

Rajah Caruth and Jeremey Clements rounded out the top ten. Both drivers either spun or found the wall in the final few laps but remained in decent enough shape to collect top tens.
