Katherine Legge completes “The Double” with 31st in Coke 600

Katherine Legge finished “The Double” 31st, 12 laps down, in the Coca-Cola 600 Sunday night, completing her second race of the day.

Earlier in the day, she finished 33rd (last) in the Indianapolis 500 after a lap 17 crash with Ryan Hunter-Reay sidelined her day in Indy.

“I think the highlight will be when I can lay down tonight, because I’m tired,” Legge said to Prime. “…At the end of the day, I don’t think I made too many mistakes, there are some positives to take away.”

Legge is the first driver since Kyle Larson last year to race both events in the same day.

Other drivers who have raced in both events over the years include Kurt Busch, Robby Gordon, Tony Stewart, and John Andretti.
