Kaulig Racing, Chandler Smith to part ways in 2024

Kaulig Racing announced Sunday they will part ways with Chandler Smith, beginning in 2024.

Smith moved up to the NASCAR Xfinity Series with Kaulig Racing this year. Before, he ran four seasons — two part-time and two full-time — with Kyle Busch Motorsports in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

Smith has had a breakout year in the Xfinity Series. Currently, he is seventh in points with a win, three poles, eight top-five finishes and 12 top-10s.

“The November 4th event at Phoenix Raceway will serve as Smith’s final race with Kaulig Racing,” the team said in a release issued Sunday morning.

Kaulig will announce their 2024 driver lineup in the coming weeks.

Smith is reportedly eyeing a deal with Joe Gibbs Racing for the 2024 Xfinity Series season.
