Kevin Harvick now 10th in all-time Cup Series starts

LINCOLN, Ala. — Kevin Harvick’s start in the YellaWood 500 broke a tie with Michael Waltrip for 10th all-time on the series’ points-awarding starts list.
Talladega marked Harvick’s 785th NASCAR Cup Series points-awarding race. Harvick has the most starts among active competition.
Harvick, the 2014 series champion, ultimately finished in 29th, one lap down.

Harvick has raced full-time in the series since 2001, being named as the replacement driver at Richard Childress Racing following the death of Dale Earnhardt.
In 785 starts, Harvick has accumulated 60 victories, 243 Top-5 finishes, 427 Top-10 finishes, 15,897 laps led, and one Cup Series championship.
Richard Petty has the most starts all-time with 1,184, the only driver to have four-digit Cup Series starts.
