Kevin Harvick ties Bill Elliott at 44 wins

Kevin Harvick’s victory in the Consumers Energy 400 at Michigan International Speedway Sunday tied the driver with Bill Elliott on the all-time wins list in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, 17th overall.
Harvick was victorious for the seventh time in 2018, leading all drivers in wins this season.
The Stewart-Haas Racing driver picked up win No. 44 in his 633rd start. Elliott, the 1988 series champion, won his 44th race in his 730th start.
The next six drivers on the list are Buck Baker (46), Herb Thomas (48), Tony Stewart (49), Kyle Busch (49), Junior Johnson (50) and Ned Jarrett (50).
Additionally, Harvick led the most laps in the race—108 out of 200 circuits—the sixth time he has done so in 2017.
Harvick now has led the most laps in a Cup Series race 50 times in his career, becoming the 13th driver to accomplish the feat in the history of the series. He is third among active drivers; Kyle Busch (59) and Jimmie Johnson (71).
