Kevin Harvick is now tied with 1989 Cup Series champion Rusty Wallace on the NASCAR Cup Series all-time wins list.

Harvick’s win Sunday, August 9th, in the Consumers Energy 400 marked his 55th career win in the series, tying Harvick and Wallace for 10th on the series’ all-time wins list.

“It’s hard to tell what the end of the year is going to bring as far as this could be the last win, you might win six more, you just never know,” Harvick said.

“I think the most important thing is to stay focused on the week-to-week attitude of trying to prepare the best that you can.  Win or lose last week, on Monday you have to be preparing for the next week.,”

In the year 2020, Harvick became the 14th driver in NASCAR history to win 50 races in the Cup Series, and passed Junior Johnson, Ned Jarrett, and Lee Petty on the wins list.

The next group of drivers ahead of Harvick and Wallace on the wins list are Kyle Busch (56), Dale Earnhardt (76), Cale Yarborough and Jimmie Johnson (83), and Darrell Waltrip and Bobby Allison (84).

The next points-awarding Cup Series race is scheduled for next Sunday (August 16th) in Daytona Beach, Florida at the Daytona International Speedway road course.
