Making the race-winning pass with nine laps to go in the AdventHealth 400, Kurt Busch earned his first win of the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series season.

Busch, who led the most laps, got around race leader Kyle Larson and earned his 34th-career win by a 1.4-second margin over Larson’s No. 5.

“It’s all about teamwork, I don’t do this alone,” Busch said of the win. “…This is our first win in the No. 45 car and with Jordan Brand on the hood, I mean, I felt like I had to play like the GOAT, race like the GOAT, and I had to beat the Kyle’s. I beat both.”

Busch is the 11th different winner in the first 13 races of the season.

For Larson, it was his highest finish since a runner-up showing at Las Vegas in March and his sixth Top-5 finish of the season.

“That was fun racing with Kurt (Busch),” Larson said. “You know, the last half of the race I was trying hard the whole time. I about spun out in front of him there at some point in the third stage and then we just kept fighting through it. Thanks to my team for building me a war machine.”

Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin and pole-sitter Christopher Bell rounded out the Top-5 finishers.
