Kvapil stays hot: Scores first O’Reilly Series Pole from Darlington

DARLINGTON, S.C. — Carson Kvapil continues to stay hot in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series with a Darlington Pole for the Fleetio 200.

This is his first pole of the season and of his O’Reilly Series career.

The series has now seen 14 straight different pole winners with Kvapil’s first career pole!

It was one after another for who would capture the pole here at Darlington. In the end it was Kvpail over the four-time winner from Darlington in Justin Allgaier.

Allgaier absolutely crushed the competition in the regular season for another regular season championship and will start second to his teammate who is second in the Chase.

Brandon Jones will look for another Darlington win to start the postseason from third. He will share the second row with defending series champion Jesse Love from fourth.

Sam Mayer avoided disaster at Daytona in the regular season finale and will start his Chase from the top five in fifth. Austin Hill will start his final O’Reilly Series championship hunt from sixth.

Then, Taylor Gray earned his Darlington stripe on his qualifying run and will start seventh. Brent Crews will make his Darlington debut from eighth after missing the Chase for himself. He will still do battle in the Chase for the owner’s championship.

Rajah Caruth might start ninth but will have the best pit stall after his first career pole from Daytona last weekend. Finally, Parker Retzlaff set the fastest single-lap in practice and parlayed it into the tenth starting spot for his first Chase appearance.

Notable Entrants

The final three Chase drivers not mentioned inside the top ten will start not too far behind. Sammy Smith will start 11th, Sheldon Creed will start 13th, and Corey Day will start 14th.

NASCAR does not allow NASCAR Cup Series drivers to compete in Chase races in lower series. Therefore other drivers have the opportunity to jump into the O’Reilly Series starting here at Darlington.

After his first career NASCAR O’Reilly Series victory in nearly 500 start Ryan Sieg has returned to his usual No. 39 entry and will start 18th.

Brad Perez returned to the series in the race winning No. 38 RSS Racing entry. That team has came down from their impressive win to qualify in the rear from 36th.

Jake Finch returned for his third career start in the series in the JR Motorsports No. 9. He will start 31st.

Daniel Dye is back in the Jordan Anderson Racing No. 32 that he will inherit for all of 2027. He will make his second consecutive start for the team from 26th.
