Kyle Busch fastest in opening practice at Pocono Raceway

LONG POND, PA –Kyle Busch was fastest in opening practice on Friday afternoon at Pocono Raceway.

The Friday practice for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series was delayed due to rain and fog earlier in the morning.

The practice session that was scheduled from 10:00 am ET to 11:25 am ET for the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards did not run.

Alex Bowman, Clint Bowyer, Kyle Larson, and Kevin Harvick rounded out the Top 5.

Clint Bowyer was the only driver to complete a consecutive 10 lap run during this practice session.

Qualifying for the Pocono 400 is scheduled for 4:15 pm ET on Friday afternoon. Final practice is scheduled for Saturday afternoon at 11:30 am ET.

According to weather.com at 1:39 pm ET on Friday afternoon, there is a chance of rain between 15% and 25% until 7:00 pm ET, when there is a 40% chance of thunderstorms.

The Pocono 400 is scheduled for Sunday, June 3, 2018, at 2:00 pm ET.
