Kyle Busch leads active NASCAR Cup Series drivers in Richmond wins
This Sunday, the NASCAR Cup Series heads to the .75-mile Richmond Raceway for its seventh race of the 2023 season.
Eight of the 37 starters in the field have won a Cup Series race at the Virginia short track before.
Kyle Busch (6 wins)
Busch is the winningest active driver at Richmond with six victories and 27 Top-10 finishes in 34 starts. He also has the highest average finish among active competition with a 7.0.
Busch won at least once per season at Richmond from 2009-2012 and swept both races in 2018. Additionally, Busch has finished inside the Top-10 in each of the last 10 Richmond races.
Denny Hamlin, Kevin Harvick (4 wins each)
Hamlin has 32 starts and wins in September 2009, September 2010, September 2016, and last April.
Harvick has the most starts at Richmond among active drivers with 43. The 2014 champion won at Richmond in September 2006, September 2011, April 2013, and most recently in August 2022, the most recent Richmond race.
Martin Truex Jr. (3 wins)
After going winless in his first 26 races at Richmond, Truex Jr. won three times in his next seven. He swept both races in 2019 and won the September 2021 race.
Brad Keselowski, Joey Logano, Kyle Larson (2 wins)
Keselowski’s two victories came in September 2014 and September 2020 when he drove for Team Penske.
Logano won at Richmond in April 2014 and April 2017. Larson won in September 2017 and April 2023.
Alex Bowman, Chris Buescher (1 win)
Bowman won at Richmond in April 2021. Buescher won in August 2022.
