Kyle Busch to race head-to-head with son for the first time ever

Kyle Busch will cross another milestone off of his list as he will race against his son, Brexton Busch, for the first time ever.

Kyle and Brexton will race each other this Wednesday at Millbridge Raceway. Brexton has been racing micro and junior sprints recently. On the docket for Wednesday are these classes:

  • 600cc Winged and Non-Winged Micros
  • Intermediate
  • Restricted Micros
  • Buggies

The two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion will turn 40 years old this May while his son will turn 10 in May.

Kyle has said “a dream scenario” would be to run the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series full-time when Brexton is 15 and to share a truck with him when he’s 18. Kyle would be 45 and 48 when that would happen.

Currently, Kyle runs full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series for Richard Childress Racing. He missed the playoffs last season and hasn’t won since World Wide Technology Raceway in June 2023 — but came close to winning at Circuit of the Americas last month.
