LAS VEGAS — At the end of the Alsco Uniforms 300, Landon Cassill earned his first Top-10 finish of the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series campaign.

Cassill, who started fifth, failed to earn stage points in the race, but climbed to a sixth-place finish at the end of the 200-lap event.

“We had a really fast car and I think we finished probably where I felt like our car could have run all day,” Cassill said to The Racing Experts.

“I didn’t pass efficiently enough when I was running 10th, 11th, 12th, I needed to get around those guys quicker, just cost me track position, but we were fortunate at the end to have good restarts.”

The result was Cassill’s first Top-10 finish since a 10th-place finish at Bristol in August 2019.

“It just proves what this team and these cars are capable of more than anything in my first whack at it driving a car like this,” Cassill said.

Leaving Las Vegas, Cassill is ranked 18th in driver’s standings ahead of the series’ next race at Phoenix.
