Layne Riggs, William Sawalich stand out at IRP

Layne Riggs and William Sawalich each earned their best-career NASCAR Trucks finish Friday night at Indianapolis Raceway Park.

Riggs finished third and had the night of his life in one a few opportunities he has received so far this season.

“This proves I deserve to be here every weekend. I love NASCAR racing, I wanna do it more. It’s a rare occurrence when I can do it. Thank you to Infinity Communications, Jeff Coffey. Man that guy is making my dreams light up. I thought we had a shot at it but I hope I can be in one [victory lane] soon,” Riggs said.

Sawalich finished sixth and continued a solid stretch of races in his young NASCAR career. He also finished fourth and led laps in the preceding ARCA race.

“The ARCA race – I really learned a lot from that. It was a little hotter, a little slicker. Once it cooled off, the track definitely picked up front grip. We fired off a little tight in stage one, but we fixed it. We had a really fast pit stop – I think we picked up five spots, so I was really happy with that,” Sawalich said.
