After growing up with three Nashville guitars in his home, he finally earns one for himself.

Riggs dominated the race and likely would have dominated qualifying too if it wasn’t for the rain after he won the lone practice session.

The NASCAR Metric set Riggs on the pole and after over two hours of waiting, he was able to showcase his speed.

Once the track dried, the first stage went without a hitch. Riggs won the stage from the pole in the fully green run.

He proceeded to return to the lead off pit road and led once again to sweep the stages. But the stage was less straight-forward than the first.

The heavy amount of cautions led to diverse strategies and Layne Riggs could not get the lead back after restarting in dirty air. They got their race defining caution with over 30 laps remaining.

His crew called him down for four fresh tires and the ensuing climb commenced. He sat third and around 3.5 seconds off the lead with seven laps to go and chopped half second bites out of the lead until passing Rajah Caruth on the outside in turn one on the final lap for the win.

Riggs kept his 100% win rate after rain cancels qualifying. He is now an impressive three for three following his efforts tonight.

Top Ten

Riggs reclaimed the regular season points lead over Kaden Honeycutt in his points maximizing win.

Caruth returned to the series for the first time this season to defend his Nashville Truck Series win from a year ago. He took over the Spire Motorsports No. 7 truck tonight in place of the late Kyle Busch who was slated to originally run the race tonight. He was close but fell one lap short of defending the race win.

Chandler Smith finished third. He and Caruth both started outside the top twenty and marched to the front late for their top-five finishes.

Ross Chastain made his seventh start of the season and put his Niece Motorsports Silverado in fourth. Tyler Ankrum rounded out the top five as his McAnally Hilgemann Racing team delivered a solid run.

Truck Series veterans Stewart Friesen and Grant Enfinger finished their good top ten day’s in sixth and seventh. Christian Eckes finished eighth in his first time at the track in the series since his domination of this very event in 2024.

Gio Ruggiero finished ninth and Daniel Dye rounded out the top ten after completing his first race back from suspension.

Notable Finishes

During the second stage chaos, many drivers who ran inside the top-15 were involved in incidents that rendered their good days to nothing.

Tyler Reif crashed while battling three-wide which began the chaos. Then Carson Ferguson found the wall for the second straight single-car incident. Reif finished last in 36th with Ferguson just ahead in 35th.

The cautions bred cautions which ended the race for Jake Garcia, Tanner Gray, and Jesse Love, who made his first start in the series since 2023. All three finished lowed than 32nd.

Kaden Honeycutt looked like the trucker to beat late in the race but an electrical issue took him out in third with just over 30 laps remaining. He captured the second most stage points but came home three laps down in 27th.

On the ensuing restart, Ben Rhodes went high through turns one and two and made contact with Corey LaJoie, puncturing a tire.

Rhodes pitted for fresh rubber, but an improperly secured lug nut sent a wheel bouncing down the track to bring out the caution flag again with 20 laps to go. He was held on pit road for two laps for the incident and finished five laps down in 28th.
