Matt Mills to Niece Motorsports full-time in 2024

Niece Motorsports named Matt Mills as the driver of its No. 42 Chevrolet for the 2024 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season.
Mills will take over the ride Carson Hocevar is vacating in 2024. Hocevar will move up to the NASCAR Cup Series and race for Spire Motorsports full-time.
“This is a great opportunity for me to get into top-tier equipment. It felt good to get on track this year and show speed, and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to continue that,” Mills said.
Mills raced Kyle Busch Motorsports’ No. 51 Chevrolet at Richmond in July and the Milwaukee Mile in August.
At Richmond, he finished fifth after placing ninth and 10th in the stages.
“I think a lot of people took notice of Matt this year at Richmond and Milwaukee. He’ll be a great addition to our organization. Matt has a lot of laps under his belt. It’s tough to get in these trucks just a few times a year and show speed as Matt did, so I think there will be a lot of growth next season as he’s able to race week after week,” said Cody Efaw, the general manager of Niece Motorsports.
J.F. Electric and Utilitra will support Mills in the No. 42 truck. The No. 42 truck has three wins, 10 top-5 finishes and 12 top-10s this season with Carson Hocevar.
