MBM Motorsports adds Martinsville to Cup schedule

MBM Motorsports will return to the NASCAR Cup Series six weeks earlier, racing in the Cook Out 400 at Martinsville Speedway.

The organization will enter its No. 66 entry into the April 7 race. The last time they raced at Martinsville was in October 2021 with Timmy Hill. Hill completed 206 laps before a blown engine knocked them to a 37th-place finish.

Hill drove the No. 66 car Sunday at Circuit of the Americas in the first Cup Series race for MBM since 2022. He finished 36th, two laps down.

MBM Motorsports hasn’t said if Hill will drive the No. 66 car at Martinsville. However, Hill will get to drive the car in the May 19 NASCAR All-Star Open at North Wilkesboro Speedway.

David Starr will drive the car May 26 in the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Starr last raced in the NASCAR Cup Series for MBM at Phoenix in November 2021.
