McAnally-Hilgemann confirms Colby Howard to No. 91 in 2022

ROSEVILLE, CALIF. — McAnally-Hilgemann Racing reiterated Tuesday, Jan. 11, Colby Howard will pilot the team’s second truck in 2022.

Colby Howard will join the newly-formed No. 91 team with Gates Corporation as a primary sponsor. Derek Kraus will continue to pilot the No. 19 truck.

Mark Hillman will be Howard’s crew chief, while Shane Wilson will be Kraus’s crew chief, in 2022.

MHR will be moving into a shop at GMS’s operations in Statesville, N.C., as a part of a new alliance with the team.

“This is an amazing opportunity for us,” McAnally said. “We were confident going into this alliance that it would be very beneficial for MHR. A meeting we had with GMS owner Maury Gallagher bolstered that confidence even more. They have made this a great move for MHR to have our own facility at the GMS complex.”

Bill McAnally’s operations have earned 11 ARCA West championships and 106 wins. The team was previously partnered with Chevrolet from 1992-2007, before switching to Toyota from 2008-2021.
